Outreach so far

Bolivia is wonderful!! I love it here, especially the weather!! It feels like spring/summer at home!! I feel right at home. I am learning so much here. Bolivia is the poorest country in South America. This has really taught me what being poor means and that I am very very rich. The average bolivian´s yearly income is $100. That is crazy.

I am working at a boys home with middle school and high school aged boys from the streets. They are amazing guys, it is hard to picture them living on the streets. Most of them have gone through some crazy hard stuff. My heart breaks when I hear about how much they have been through at such a long age. They are so much fun to be around and just hang out with. They are tring to teach me how to speak spanish, which is very hard! We will be with them for about 5 weeks in total, which is most of our time here. We realy have a chance to get to know the guys and build relationshios with them.

The other 3 weeks here will be split up between helping out with some local churches and going into the jusngle to help the tribes buill wells. Right now, they don´t have any clean water, so hopefully building wells will help with that. I am really enjoying it here; the lord is really doing a lot. I really appreciate your continued prayers! I look foward to seeing everyone in less than two months!!!

It's time!!!

I am starting my journey for Bolivia tomorrow morning at 4am. I have to spend a day in London, picking up my visa. I could really use some prayer on this to make sure that everything goes according to plan!! We leave the airport in London at noon on Wednesday and fly to Miami, where we have a 6 hour layover. Our next flight leaves Miami at 11pm. We arrive in Bolivia at 9:30am the Thursday morning. Needless to say with all that travel and time difference, we will all be exhausted!! We will have a few days of orientation before starting work, which will hopefully give us all some time to get rested. We do have a set schedule, but its complicated, so i will tell a bit of it. We will be spending most of our time in the girls and boys homes working with the street kids. Also, we will take a week and go into the tribes and help to build wells and much more!!

I am so excited to finally be going. I think that this will be such an amazing opportunity for me. I am nervous though, but in a good if that makes any sense. I am ready to go and see all of the things that God has planned for me. I really want to take these few months and just focus on the Lord and not let anything else worry me too much. All of this being said, I probably won't be able to contact any of you as much or update this blog quite as often, but I will try my best. I miss everyone and I am praying for ya'll!! I can't wait to come home and tell you about everything that has happened!!

Outreach is just around the corner!

Hi everyone,
I am sorry that it has been so long since my last update. Things have definatly been getting a little crazy around here. I just got back from spain on sunday. It was beautiful; I loved it very much. It was such a blessing to get to spend the weekend there. This week we have a really cool toopic; it is identity and calling. The speaker is wonderful! This is our last topic before outreach preparatin, which is so crazy. I am very excied though! Things are going really well here, infact I have some new details.

I will be in London over christmas time. We will be working with an organization called Earls Court. We will be serving the homeless christmas dinner all week. It wil be a good chance to get to minister to them and really show them love over Christmas. After that we will have a few days off just to rest and prepare for Bolivia. We leave London on January
7th. We ahve a nine and a half hour flight to miami, then a six hour layover, then another nine hour flight to Bolivia. That is 24 hours of strait traveling. While we are in Bolivia, we will be spending most of our time with youth at the local boys and girls home. We will also be going inot the rural area to build wells and doing other practical things. Our schedule is completly packed, but it is going to be wonderful. Our total cost for outreach is 2000 british puonds, which is about $3500. it is alot of money, but we are al relying on God to provide the money. I have most all of my money except a little bit. I actually had a bit of an accident and spilled tea on my friends macbook computer. I took full responcibilty and helped her pay for a new computer. that did put me back a little bit, but I am praying for God to just provide.

Thank you all so much for your coninued support. This experience has been amazing and I have learned so much. I really appreciate all that you guys have done for me. Mery Christmas and i can't wait to see everyone when I get back. I will write again soon!

Bolivia!!!!

Hi everyone! I found out today that I will be going to Bolivia. We are going to be doing lots of different things. Some of the things that we are going to be doing are: evangelism, mercy ministry, running a bible study at local churches, helping out with the youth at local churches and much more. I am really excited. We will be leaving England at the end of December. I will be spending Christmas in London, helping a local organization called Earls court. They feed and house the homeless on Christmas. We are all really excited about having the opportunity to be apart of this. Also, they have split out teams up onto two groups, so there are seven of us that will be going to Bolivia. We are all so excited and we are spending this week to began to prepare for outreach and learn about the cultures that we will be going to . I will keep everyone updated!!

South America!

HEY!! Today we found out where we will be going on outreach! We will be going to South America. We are splitting up into two teams. One team is going to Bolivia and one team will be going to Brazil. I am not sure which team I will be on yet. I need to pray and ask God where he wants me to go. We will be going to South America in early January, but first we will be spending Christmas in London with the homeless. There is a ministry up there that my base usually participates in every year. I do not know a lot of detail yet, but I have learned that my outreach will be more expensive than expected. The price for going where we are is about one thousand dollars more than what we had origanally planned, so I would really appreciate any extra help money wise. Thank you guys sooo much for your prayers. I am so excited to finaly know where we will be going!! I am ready to go now!!

Half way through lecture phase!!

Hi everyone! Things are going great here. i am happy to say that I am feeling much better. I went to the doctor and got some blood drawn. All my tests came back normal, so it was a huge blessing! In other news, we just finised the DNA conference. It was crazy, the founder of youth was a mission was here and i will posting the picture i took with him soon! It was realy cool to have him come and talk to us. This week are topic is spiritual warfare. It is very good, but also a little draining.

This weekend we have our first long weekend and I am looking foward to just relaxing around the lodge! Also, me and three of my friends are going to spain for our second long weekend! I am so excited one of my friends is from Spain, so we are going to tay with her family. It is only about one hundred and thirty dollars round trip, so I could pass up the offer.

We still do not know where we are ging for our outrach yet. We are all just trustion that God has a plan and everything will work out fine. I know that we would all appreciate your prayers. as soon as I know, I will let all of ya'll know! Thank ya'll so much for your love and support!
Love, Margaret

P.S. My friend and roomate, Bethany, says hello to everyone and she could also use your prayers, because she has just sprained her ankle and maybe knee. Thanks!!
